In Finland, Capacent is organized around business units. These business units are designed to facilitate the development and maintenance of the key skills we need from our staff. For large projects, we have found it to be vital to be able to offer our clients mixed teams from different business units, and we encourage consultants to broaden their competence by participating in projects within different areas.
Our formal consulting hierarchy runs on five levels (Director/Partner – Manager – Senior Consultant – Consultant – Analyst). Parallel with this we strive constantly to give our employees broad roles in order to facilitate their competence development. The consequence for our staff – junior and senior – is that we vest a large amount of responsibility with them, in terms of running and developing our business.
