Capacent’s presence in Finland comes as a result of the acquisition of Capto Financial Consulting in 2008. Capto was originally established as ABB Financial Consulting, part of the multinational industrial group ABB. The name was changed to Capto Financial Consulting in 2002 after a management buyout. ABB Financial Consulting has been active in the Finnish market already in the 90-ties, with an office in Helsinki. The Finnish management did not take part in the management buyout and therefore the Stockholm office served Finnish clients between 2002 and 2005 when a new office was established in the center of Helsinki.
